The only thing that stopped me bidding was the fact that I find the handles too small for my hands. Although I would've dropped out at around £650.00.

Okay if it's going to be used, so I hope it doesn't spend life in a glass case.

I have seen a similar Norris smoother in PFT over the last few days, late 50's with mahogany totes in brown icky varnish, didn't like the look of it very much. Also had an A1 panel plane same as mine, didn't seem to be in such good condition though - Rob
