Bosch mitre blades back on ridiculous pricing 2 for £13.47!

Recieved mine today and I am more than happy with the carry case, this alone is worth the £14 I can't comment on the blades as they are spares but if the are as good as they case I reckon I got a bargain.

just a thought, these bosch blades are actually product of
peoples republic of china, so one wonders how bosch they
are?? :?

not suggesting they are inferior, but maybe only diy type,
not full industrial.

mind you reckon the blade holder is probably worth the money
anyway so it's not necessarily a big loss is it??

Good point Paul but as many people have said, you get what you pay for. I won't lose much sleep if the blades are poor

I am inclined to follow everyone's lead and get a set of these but notice that the 254mm set consists of a 24t & 80t. The 80T would be a useful addition but I don't do much ripping on my SCMS :? so am wondering if the 24T would be suitable for use in my TS, or would the neg. rake cause problems. Anyone got any advice?

You are expressing my thoughts exactly. I really don't see the point of a rip blade on a SCMS, neg rake or otherwise. In fact, what use is neg rake on a rip blade at all? Why has this blade been designed? There must be a reason/market for it, but who uses such a blade?

This is a serious question, if anyone knows, please enlighten me.

But even so, it's still a good deal.

it seems from what the blade selles now seem to claim, their ideas
of what can and cannot be done with a blade changes with the wind.

these more modern blades i think are much more flexible in
their usage, as well as their action :lol:

Can't argue with that Steve, even if you throw away the rip blade a half decent 80T (neg rake or not) is worth £15 of anyone's dosh.

Trouble is when comes time for sharpening, my saw doctor may take one look at that posh case, think I'm loaded, and put his prices up.

p.s. Thermometer in the workshop has just made it over the 90F mark. And thats with all the doors and windows open! Oh well, back to work...... :-({|=

Curiouser and curiouser :? Don't realise that they were neg. rake - could only be for RASs, then. I imagine that trying to use a neg. rake rip blade on a table saw might be hard work........
