I don't have a scroll saw, but i do have a jewelers saw which takes scroll saw blades. The ones available on ebay are not good. They have extremely fine teeth. Can anyone give me some advice on types and manufacturers please.

My main problem being that they cut too slowly. I use it for removing waste when dovetailing.

Thanks Graham

Have a look here http://www.alwayshobbies.com/tools/hand ... ccessories all the pinless fretsaw blades will fit both fretsaws and Jewellers saws. Blades generally start at 00 very fine and go up via sizes 0, 1, 2 etc up to size 11 which are the heaviest and coarsest.

The extremely fine tooth blades are generally classed as piercing saw blades or Metal cutting blades.

Another place to buy blades is Mikes workshop whose site does have a lot of useful info on it! http://www.mikesworkshop.com/

Hegner also sell blades in the UK http://www.hegner.co.uk/products/spares ... lades.html
