Belts for Whitehead Sander 66x6

I have a whitehead sander bought on Ebay that had a new belt fited when I aquired it.

Can anyone point me to a source of supply for these belts? (66"x6")

I cannot find this size on the web.

Try this company for a competitive price. You will have to buy a minimum of ten though. http://www.abacon.co.uk/ A 300inch by 6 inch belt for my pad sander is about £4 plus vat depending on grit required.

Thanks. Emailed all 3. only had a relpy from the last one. They quoted for 10 off for each grade of abrasive. I expect about £50 with vat & postage added. I would like an assortment of grades with a total of about 5 belts altogether which should last me a lifetime.

Is there anyone out there with a similar sander who would like to share an order?

I have just bought the same sander and it comes with quite a few belts and discs I dont know what grit the belts are but if your only after 5 I might be able to help you out. I will send you a pm when i have collected the machine and know what ive got.

Thanks Jon, looking out for the pm.

The disc on the one I have was out of true due to wear in the bore of the plate. All ok after I rebushed it & trued it up on the lathe.

I bought a velcro kit from Axminster to apply to the plate & it works ok.

Still looking for small quantity of these belts of 2 or 3 grit sizes. Anyone willing to split an order for 10 of 1 grit size?

Does any one have a photo of this machine? I am looking for new belts for it, but not sure if I need paper or felt backed belts?
