Turning MDF into gold in a northern town
Here's some pics of a cottage I've been doing some work in over the last few weeks. The rooms are really tiny so my brief was maximise space while retaining the country-cottage feel. The clients seem to think I've succeeded!

Fisrt the bedroom...

And then an unused space under the stairs was turned into an office. I only finished it a couple of days ago and already it's a bloody mess!

Dan - excellent work in the cottage. As a matter of interest, what sort of finish was used on the pieces? - Rob

Very nice work indeed!

Looks like you've done a tidy job scribing around the beam/purlin in the bedroom too.

Lovely job, I'll soon be doing something similar in a bedroom at home, choosen wood is cherry, hope it turns out as good as yours. I really like the dea of the split doors.

Thanks Waka,

It was the only way I could think of of overcoming the problem of the sloping ceiling - a conventional door wouldn't open. It was the main reason I got the job in the first place - the client had had a quote from Hammonds who told them they would have to a blanking panel under the eaves.

Bloody amateurs!

Dan
