I have been on with these for a few weeks now just making them as I go no plans or drawings. I made an Oak one to start then these 2 out sapele.

cut out all the blanks

18mm mdf used for tops and edged in miter cut sapele cut with the incra miter 2000 bought off a forum member! best thing ever for the table saw perfect every time never missed!

I want to french polish them but dont know whether to glue em up first or after I have polished em any ideas??
 
I like the look of these - please, keep the photos coming!! :wink:

You'll often benefit from applying a coat of your chosen finish before gluing up. It's gives you a better chance of getting the glue off as it cannot sink in to the grain. Cleaning up the outer faces isn't such a problem; it's on the inside where you would usually struggle to scrape the glue away.
