Point taken, I guess if it's finished well it'll be fine.
 
I really like that ABW bath panel I'd go for that, Cost can't be that much of a factor you have got a laundry chute after all :lol: does it go straight to the laundry fairy and come back ironed? I have to leave mine all over the floor before the fairy comes!

Oak is pretty tough.

This house is built from oak;

It has withstood wind and rain for 430 years. Most of the timber is still the original and as far as anyone can tell it is completely untreated, apart from the Victorians painting it black!

Now the paint's been taken off it's looking great.

You have a laundry fairy too? Me and the boys currently kick the clothes down a flush hole in the floor which is boxed out, it drops in to a long ceiling height cupboard with a magic laundry basket in. How it climbs in the washing machine next to it and ends up ironed in our wardrobes is one of life's wonders.

If only I could work out away to beat gravity and get the laundered clothes back upstairs with as little fuss.
