Loooking for advice on blade maintenance, is any maintenance required on bandsaw blade , I.e. wax, lubricant or such like.my saw and blades working fine, just wondered if I should be doing anything to blade, cheers

Hello and welcome. Out of interest, You don't say what bandsaw you have.
Assuming you don't have a large stenner type log converting saw bench, which will be used with the blade running on convex ground steel wheels.
Any oil/wax etc, applied on you're blade in the saw will cause running problems, as they run on rubber, or nylon type tyres.
Should you want to clear any rust formed on the blade in between use, What I do is, UN PLUG IT, and, just use some fine sandpaper held against the blade's inside, but away from the teeth, and move the saw blade upwards, by turning the wheel carefully and making catching fingers and teeth less likely.
Any spare blades would be best coiled, (A bit of an art form in its self)! and checked/ cleaned before fitting, tracking etc.
HTH Regards Rodders

Many thanks, I have small bandsaw fox191, no probs rust etc. Just wanted to check, been running well for 2 months, just thought I would check, cheers.

Rodders, prob as much use as g.b.manual, for example instuctions on putting together includes the following-attach all four legs to the bandsaw blade!, regarding the bearings I had to modify to get lined up, however fox also sent me new upper guide when I contacted them, the problem was a fixing hole drilled at a slight angle.i now have a spare upper guide so all good, however the manual is shocking but I kind of expected that.thanks for info.pete
