Would Iroko be okay for that?

Lignum vitae would be better.

The only lignum vitae i possess is very round and called a "wood" as in bowling I won't be cutting into that, but I do have lots of Iroko, once again, would that be okay for bandsaw blocks?

Rich, I don't see why you can't use Iroko. I think lignum vitae is the timber of choice simply because it's more hard-wearing than almost any other timber. You'll probably find you need to change or adjust your iroko guides more often, that's all really.
