I bought the cheapie table and router bundle from B&Q before xmas when they had 20% off. Cost £40.

The table top isn't bad and the router mounting is reasonably solid. The dust extraction port on the router is tiny and blocks easily but works well enough when not blocked! The fence is a complete waste of time though. Being plastic it is slippery and it does not stay put no matter how tight you do the thumbnuts. I use a lump of CLS held on with G clamps and it is now quite useable. I also replaced the depth setting thing on the router with a piece of threaded studding and secured a ply disc to the bottom end - so I have easy height adjustment. Oh and the collets don't grip well enough with the supplied spanner so I use a large one now. No doubt I'll shear the shaft locking pin before too long but it is still there for now :)

I only bought the thing with the idea of making crude cupboards etc. to fit out my workshop - and at the same time get a better idea of what is really needed in a router table without spending too much finding out. Have to say until I find I need something better it will certainly do for now. I do have my DW625 for non table tasks :)

ive had a p,pro bench grinder for a few months and its ok(only sharpen tools though)but a buddy of mine,s had them for years only changes them when he needs new wheels, says its cheaper to buy the whole thing,£10.odd ok the wheels are course, ish but keep my cheap files , shaving nicely

Bit of a necro post but I finally got around to putting the table together and can't work out how to attach the router to the table - I can see 4 holes which would appear to be suitable but they don't line up with the holes in the router base ....
