Most know that the Dewalt rails are not great for joining together.
Here’s how I modified Makita rail for a cheaper alternative to using Festool rails.
I used a 12mm straight router bit with a 20mm guide bush.
I made a jig using off cuts of mdf,
the 20mm hole is offset 6mm to where I wanted the lip cut off.
