It does look comfy and is a nice design. Personal thing for me is I don't like dark stains/varnishes, in terms of a critique I reckon with a little more time and effort in the finishing stages you coul make a good piece of furniture into a great piece.

Things I noticed were the runs on the varnish and I reckon if you did a little shaping and sanding on some of the pieces, in particular the flat pieces on the curved sections then it would look more organic and you'd take it to another level.

Keep them coming though and I bet the chair sees a lot of use. When it isn't raining...

yea it is very comfy :D

the armrest serves as a pretty good beer holder!!!! :p :p I am in the process of making a small side table for it, with a detachable tray top, to allow drinks etc to be made up and then taken out to be enjoyed in the great sunny summer i'm sure we will have!!!

I know what you say about the paint runs, and I will definitely fix those when I ake the second one. I was painting it in an old garage with poor light, because when I built it, at the time my workshop wasn't big enough to fit it out the door when fully assembled!!!

Michael

Hi Michael

the colour as other have pointed out is a personal thing of choice entirely up to you , you say it very comfy good , the only thing wrong is you should have made the board to the seat and back narrower ( more of) you can see on the curve on the seat space behind the boards where there to wide.hc
