txt speak is intellectual brain rot, it encourages mediocrity, low standards and laziness.

Plus one. :D

*Builds sandbag fort and mans it with suicidally verbose samurai with very sharp Japanese blades.

Text messages take me forever - I have to spell and punctuate everything perfectly. Not acronyms, but used regularly in our house - RTFM (read the f***ing manual) and JFDI (just f***ing do it). :D

The few texts I send are normally sent via skype and I use a normal keyboard, normal language and I never make mastikes that way :?

I can also link, via bluetooth, the Mac leyboard to my phone, so the same applies.

Leyboard?

Hi

Spent too much time reading all the TLAs (Three letter abbreviations). Anything more that a TLA is too much!

However, complaints about Txt speak need to just remember that part of this was that it originally cost per letter/word, just as telegrams did. For younger viewers, I recommend reading any Jeeves & Wooster book to learn about the do's and don'ts of letter reductions!
