They say on the news that it is a wee bit windy in England and south Wales today. Up to 50 metres per second they say.
Any news?

Sounds like the perfect opportunity to have the dust cleaned out of the workshop. Tie down the Wadkins so they don't dance about in the draught and open a window to windward and one to leeward.
 
It is a bit blowy, yes.

A bit of next door's tree landed in our garden. Well, a 4m long bit that's too heavy to lift. There's a bigger bit that looks like it'll drop tonight.

Salvage!! Do you have a lathe? Or is it big enough to get some small slabs out of? If its ( most likely ) a branch, i believe they are prone to movement as they often hold a lot of tension
