4 sider electrical help!

Help! The rollers on my 4 sider have stopped working. The cutter locks all work fine and the fuses round the back have not tripped. Rollers are operated by a motor and chain I believe. Engineers were supposed to come out today but have let me down. Need to work it out myself if I can but I’m not very experienced with electrics so any help appreciated. Happy to purchase amp meters etc. Any savvy gents out there can help with an over the forum diagnosis?

Best to get yourself an old school sparky in to have a look at it in person, looking at it yourself is an invitation for trouble.

No, 1 motor for 2 cutter blocks and the rollers run separately.
The cutter blocks start fine. But when I press the roller switch they don’t move

Out of curiosity what 4-cutter is it? I know on our SCM compact NT if you have the key turned over to access under the hood the cutters will start but the feed will not.

Thats where I'd start as well, sounds like a safety switch is stuck or not opersting correctly somewhere.

Had markfield woodwork engineer round who suggested it could be a controller. The rollers work when the control switch is physically pushed in (on the fuseboard)

I have just swapped it over but to no avail. There is a makeshift safety switch that has been retro fitted. It’s never been the best I have to say. Maybe I should look into that more
