The first of my nieces has got herself into a 'condition' and I'm starting to think about making a cot/crib of some type or other.
I'd like to think that it would be suitable for at least a years use and be practical. These little rocking things that sit on the floor are all very pretty but mean a lot of bending over for mum & dad. I'd like to avoid all the safety issues with dropsides and 'fiddle proof' fittings so I'm thinking of something like this with options to let it swing over a limited range or lock completely.
Has anyone built anything similar or got any tips or experiences to pass on?
How long is a 12-18month old baby?? It has been a long time since I had babies at home!
TIA
Bob
