    I do have a DW615 router (following on from excellent previous advice here in restoring an oak staircase) My concern would be how to guide it over 3 metres and at the edges where the chipboard might break away ?

    Following a new kitchen floor I need to remove about 10mm off the long edge from some oak veneered chipboard plinths I am guessing that the preferred weapon would be a table saw ? I don't have one and would find it hard to justify so any other suggestions would be great. Alternatively if...

    Yep a great tool Got mine for £69 with 2 batts from Elmers in Ipswich Invaluable when doing the kitchen Only small thing is that the LED does not quite shine on the screw!

    Thanks for all the replies The piece has not been installed yet - I am restoring our oak staircase where someone had put 3 plywood stairs at the bottom!

    I have a rectangular piece of oak about 1 metre x 0.5 metre I need to accurately and neatly cut it like 3 saw teeth Any advice on how best to do it ? TIA
