I needed to buy a wheel barrow wheel from screwfix yesterday so added the GSR to the list (to avoid postage of course  )
Order was placed at 2pm yesterday (Easter Monday), dispatch confirmed by 3pm and it arrived this morning.
I opted for the screwfix model at £80 rather than the Axminster offer of £95 - you only get 1 battery not two, no soft case and no free screwbits but do get a hex mounted bosch 3mm drill (which does not run true!)....as a hobby user after 170 screws I'll take a 30min break to recharge the one battery (it actually fully charged in 15mins when plugged in). I never keep the cases kit comes in and I have plenty of bits already so the screwfix option was the best value for me. It is the mk2 model with the locking bit holder.
As soon as I put the battery in it felt a quality tool, well balanced, good soft feel grip and the speed control is superb. It is very simple to maintain less than 1 rev per second right through to the stated 500rpm. It also comes with a powerful led -bright enough to light up a completely dark study so would be useful in a loft or under sinks etc.
I've not put it to any stress test (and don't intend to), but already I know that this will be the tool of choice for drilling smaller holes as well as all but the biggest screwdriving ( my ryobi one+ drill and impact driver will be used for those).
Other specs
- 10 torque settings max rated at 18 & 7 Nm for hard /soft screwdriving (whatever that is!). There is also a 'drill' setting
max drill in wood is 10mm, in steel 6mm
max screw size is 6mm - I don't think I have ever used them that big
weight 800g (mine is actually 835g with the battery fitted).
with a 25mm bit locked in, the distance from the back of the driver to the tip is approx 185 mm
The charger is only rated at 230v -not 110-230, so would not suit site work
