Jet Thicknesser - Timber Sticking on Exit

Hi, your problem is definitly the knives not being set correctly. They need to be set a little higher (protruding out of the cutter block a little more), this will give you that little bit more clearance between the timber and the thicknesser housing on the outfeed side. cheers, jonathan.

    For Sale: Dewalt DW733 Thicknesser

The noise was the number one reason for me selling the dewalt benchtop thicknesser. So annoying, I now have the Jet floor standing cast iron bed one and it's like music to your ears. cheers, jonathan.

    buying advice jet bobbin sander

You won't believe this fella's, but I left a little joke on Axminster's site last night to say that the price seems a little exessive for a bench top sander and to my suprise, a phone call this afternoon from a very polite lady informing me of the real price!!!! Now that's customer service...

Gettting a US address for shipping using an intermediary

It has also proved very cheap for me as well. If you try to keep the weight down, it usually helps. It's not the vat and import duty that bumps up the price, it's the shipping in the first place. jon.

    Elektra Beckum Motor Protection Reset

Sorry Roy, I don't have one but if your confident about your electrical knowhow, you could remove the NVR switch and just try it on another machine, it shouldn't take too long and will let yo know if the switch is working OK. jon.

    Elektra Beckum Motor Protection Reset

The NVR switch can and do fail. You need to check if the power is getting to the motor really. I'm no spark but i'd suggest taking off the cover where the wires go into the motor and checking with a meter if the power's getting as far as the motor. If it is, then it's the motor, if it isn't then...

    Elektra Beckum Motor Protection Reset

I know it seems obvious but have you tried replacing the fuse in the plug, just in case it's that. The reset pin you are talknig about should be somewhere near the motor I would have thought. I have a dewalt radial arm saw and that has a small reset button on the motor housing. If all fails, go...

    Dewalt DW718V SCMS Review

Good review, however, have you ever used the older 708 which has been replaced with this 718? We have several of the 708 at work and recently bought one of these 718's and I think Dewalt have seriously taken a step backwards with this saw. Nobody want's to use the new saw and will alway's opt...

    Made me cringe!

It does look quite sill but I have to admit that when I run a Dado on the tablesaw I have done it myself, although when it's on really small pieces, I do use a push stick and feather boards to keep it held down. jon.

    Plano Clamps

Hello Jeff, I used to work for a company that had a 50 foot wall space totally dedicated for the Plano clamps because everything was made from solid oak panels, we had a lad who's sole job was gluing up oak boards in the plano's and I can confidently say that for clamping up large panels they...

    Bosch GOF 2000 CE router

I do see what is meant by the handles being a little flexible where they're fixed to the body, but it doesn't seem to interfere with the overall stability and manouverability of it. I have looked at some new prices of the router though and it varies between £280 and £300, which could explain why...

    Bosch GOF 2000 CE router

Hello, Collected the router this morning. First impressions are of a solid and well made router, very smooth running and plunging mechanism. This one's going to be put to use in a table and it has a very useful table mounting adjuster for the raising and lowering of bits. Also has a very unusual...

Hi, I've been using a cordless porter cable circular saw for 2 years or so. It must have been charged at least 50-100 times from the yellow 110v site transformer and never had any issues with charger or batteries. cheers, jon.
