Thanks - Dave and Gill - just been out to the shop and that was indeed the cause of the problem. I can't believe I forgot that because I used to know that - but the Rexon has been mothballed whilst my workshop has been out of service. Must be getting old!!! Not sure what I'd do without the...

    Baby crib/rocker

Has anyone built a crib or rocker for a baby? We have a new arrival expected in February so I need to start work soon but I'm looking for some inspiration. I'm not sure I'm going to make a cot, but a rocking crib would be a start. Any photos would be appreciated

    Record Cl136

I'm looking at a Record CL136 (second hand) as a first lathe for a completely novice woodturner. Is it any good as a starter lathe? Can I turn small bowls/plates on it (if I ever got that good)?

    New workshop

Yes - fridge is very handy - beer/mil for tea etc and the sink for washing glue pots etc. There is a wc/shower room behind the sink so I could last for months out there - in a an emergency!!!

    Powered respirators

I use the Trend Airshield - it can be a little heavy after a while, but for short doses of an hour or so, I find it very effective.

Where to get planer blades sharpened?

I have some resharpenable planer blades off a HC260M and I wanted to get them professionally sharpened so they are even. What sort of shop/company sharpens planer blades? I've googled with no joy.
