I have a drawer full of the damn things too! Haven't used them for years now. Who in their right mind would buy one of those?

    Favourite tipple.

Pernod with just a touch of lemonade for me. Problem is it just goes down too easily and a bottle doesn't last long enough. I have to stop when the TV screen starts to float.

    Virgin Media.

That isn't my own purchasing Roger it is the price VM charge me for the medium package! I think it is 20 mbps although it could be higher now but I certainly didn't ask for it. I could understand it if I had the highest internet speed or all of the TV packages but I don't.

    Virgin Media.

Same here I am a VM customer and have had it since it was diamond cable many moons ago. I have Broadband, telephone and TV although I don't use the TV. I am on the medium package and have found it great for speed although a bit steep in it's price at around £70 per month! Had a couple of...

Our company ABP has just updated it's hard hats to orange from blue for all ranks. Apparently they have to be changed every four years so we have been told. Even the big boss wears an orange one too.

The Olympics - what to look forward to -

I think must be turning into a Victor Meldrew too as I think most of the TV is tosh! I do remember when the BBC provided some very good programmes but I think now that costs too much so they put any junk on. I am even watching Al Jazeera news now as it gives more news on World affairs and less...

    Shooting

I managed to find some of the photos of my guns although they are scans of old ones and I was never a David Bailey so excuse the quality. At the top left was an Uberti copy of a Colt 45 which was a cheap Italian copy. Top right is a CZ75 in 9mm, Centre is the Shultz & larsen in .762, this was a...

    Shooting

Oh Sunnybob, that is some collection you had there. Those Webley's were one hell of a gun in .455 calibre, I seem to remember reading that they were invented for shooting the Fussy wuzzies in the Boar war. Not sure if this was a true fact or not, had to sympathise with the poor devils if they...

    Great "wrong" words

The American phrase that is often used amuses me, Compartmentalise. using compartments.

    Shooting

Ah, yes, I thought it was Sunnybob and I did recognise the Hogue grip although mine had the original grips. Strangely enough I used to shoot Police pistol too and did win a Turkey at one of our Christmas shoots. It has brought back some good memories for me and I will have to see if I can dig...
