Brad Pitt divorce - do we really care?

It is nearly always unfortunate when couples divorce, and worse when children are involved, BUT - do the general British public really care about Brad Pitt's divorce? In other words, is this worthy of BBC news? I think it is just trivia. Even more trivial - on today's BBC 1.00 news we are told that Madame Tussaud's in London have separated their models of the couple to reflect their divorced status. News? Really?

To be fair, she was probably asked what she thought; what could she say? "Sorry don't know them so I have no opinion"? Would come across a bit heartless really, divorce is usually a bad thing so much easier and inoffensive to say it's sad.

Or maybe, "That fantastic news, I've had a thing for Brad for years, maybe I'm in there now" ;-)

Just googled them, apparently they are in a lot of films that I've never seen, she looks quite pretty though he does nothing for me.
In answer to "do I care," in all honesty if I'd have not read this thread I would have still been oblivious to their lives, so I guess the answer is No.

That's called a profit margin Phil. Don't forget the counter insurgency training costs. Weapons are just the ice breaker. We won't mention contracts to rebuild infra structure after the deed. Its almost like it's a money maker eh? :?
