    price of timber

The latest prices i have show meranti and sapele at about £950 per cubic metre Idigbo at about £750 and Utile at around £1050. All prices + VAT. Worth paying a little bit extra for Utile in my opinion. Idigbo is very variable can be quite good but as already been said can be a bit fluffy...

    Mini Max ME 15

I have no experience with your machine but i have got a minimax ls3000 sander. I had a couple of problems with the machine and got it sorted by scm in nottingham over the phone so it might be worth contacting them. Can be pricy though if they have to send out an engineer. Jon

    diagnosis required

I generally use a 1.5mm tip for most of my spraying but i use a HVLP turbine rather than a compressor. I used to use a 1.8mm nozzle when i had a compressor setup which was fine for most finishes. I found most guns over about £40 were Ok. If youve got the money Devilbiss are well thought of. jon

    Bathroom suitable timber?

I have fitted out a couple of bathrooms with brown oak cabinets and bath panels with no problems whatsoever. The only problem you might get is if there is some contact with metal and water and the oak you may get some black staining but the chances are remote. jon
