Well I've had a chance to try it out and I'm really pleased with things so far.

I decided to ditch the mobile base as I couldn't seem to get the stability I wanted. This led to a bit of a workshop rearrangement to I could get the saw with maximum infeed and outfeed space to mean it never needs to move.

Currently only tried out the 3/4" M42 blade from Dragon which has been excellent for what I've used it for so far, which is cutting some curved rails and also straight cuts on some tenon cheeks. The teeth are finer than I would have chosen without advise from Ian, but the resulting surface quality is very good and the speed of cut seems fine.

Loving the tension quick release lever and also I am finding that drift seems to be much less apparent on this bigger saw than my previous Scheppach machine.

Still early days, but I think the saw and I are going to be happy together.

Cheers, Ed

Its on the side of my house, hobby use only although I quite like the idea that one day it might be more than that.

Cheers, Ed

Guys, relax. Just ask yourselves how he is going to get a real table saw or Felder combi up those stairs. Even Philly's thicknesser and certainly his mill are ruled out

Can't remember if I said it in this thread or another, but after getting that bandsaw up the stairs I'm definitely having a machinery embargo for a bit.

Its handtools all the way now - I can carry them upstairs easily! :D

Cheers, Ed
