    Old job I'd forgotten about...

I certainly think you have the making skils to go self employed Adam and working for someone else i am sure you have the experience and speed that is required to be successfull. There are no easy answers to how to get work but word of mouth and building up a reputation for quality at a fair...

    Router bit sets

I have been buying quite a few Titman bits recently and find them to be excellent. I also use Wealden Trend Freud and CMT bits which are also good. The yellow perform ones from axminster are also a good option for non industrial hobby use and are keenly priced against the premium brands...

A small cabinet for marking and layout tools.

looks good. shelves on adjustable pins would be fine i would have thought. I would also in future maybe move the hinges so they are closer to the top and the bottom of the cabinet as they support the door better like that maybe 85-90mm centres from the door top/bottom. cheers jon

How Do you connect power feeder to Spindle Moulder??

The easiest option is to connect it to a 13 amp plug and start using it some spindles come with a power take off socket on them for connecting the power supply too. It is possible to get an electrician to wire it into the starting circuit of the spindle but I dont think its worth it in your...

    Kitchen WIP- Virtually Finished

Instead of buying in the worktops it was decided that it would be a good idea to fabricate the corian worktops in house. About 4 weeks ago we did a corian training course at the workshop and became registered fabricators. Loads of pony spring clamps are used to hold the pieces in place while...

A couple of jobs - advice needed.

Just an obsevation on the window board. Timber doesnt expand or contract along its length so there is no need to allow any gaps at the ends. The bowing is probably down to it not being fitted properly. well done for taking this on. cheers Jon

Schepach 4010 seems to have lost power

Is the capacitor ok. The one on my 4010 went after about 5 years of fairly heavy use and caused the saw not too start. There are no safety switches on mine. cheers Jon

    Kitchen WIP- Virtually Finished

The finish is basically a couple of coats of primer followed by a couple of coats of pigmented acid catylsed lacquer. The finish is sprayed using a fuji HVLP turbine. The finish shows the grain of the wood through the paint so the woodwork only needs sanding to 80grit and then the wood is...

    Kitchen WIP- Virtually Finished

I find it best to assemble the carcases and shoot the doors in especially on framed kitchens. It takes a little longer in the shop but the units are ready to go on site and makes fitting a lot easier. The coving is being kept simple and is basically rectangular with a chamfered edging. The...
