Hi I use Rhino double sided tape for making sanding blocks etc. I may have old stock but recently it has not been as sticky as it used to be, sandpaper lifts off the block overnight. I find DS tape also comes in handy for holding stock down when working on something that can't be clamped...

Very true, the cost is negligible. I just don't like the waste, I'll probably throw it away and start fresh. I'll forget about it after a few days (;-)

I think I owned a Festool dust extractor I would use their hoses. The Festool strategy is obviously to get you to buy their dust collection products with their tools. They seem to purposely make it very hard to adapt other dust extraction products to their tools.

I have now been able to use Festool Granat with my RX90 on a small job and I can't complain at the results so far. I'll stick to the Abranat for manual sanding with the pad and extraction hose attachment. Thanks for the feedback.

The Toolstoday hose looks as though it would do, I want to attach it to the Festool 27 tool adapter, I'll then need to figure out how to attach it to my Fein port.

Just wondering if it affects the functionality, I do like the abranet stuff. However, for a RX90 I expect it's a non-starter as Abranet don't do a 90mm disk. J

Does anyone own a Rotex 90 orbital sander? Are you constrained to using the Festool extraction system or can I adapt so I can use my existing portable extraction? I have one of the older Fein systems Regards John
