    Double Sided Tape

Hi I use Rhino double sided tape for making sanding blocks etc. I may have old stock but recently it has not been as sticky as it used to be, sandpaper lifts off the block overnight. I find DS tape also comes in handy for holding stock down when working on something that can't be clamped...

    Shellac Flakes Shelf Life

Yes I have used some and it seems OK, I wonder if all this talk about shelf life is FALSE NEWS just to make us buy more? I'll probably start again with new shellac and new spirit and put dates on the ingredients and make a note to self to throw away at some reasonable time in the not too...

    Shellac Flakes Shelf Life

Very true, the cost is negligible. I just don't like the waste, I'll probably throw it away and start fresh. I'll forget about it after a few days (;-)

    Shellac Flakes Shelf Life

Hi I have been able to establish that dissolved shellac flakes have a limited shelf life, i.e. just mix for what you need, small and frequent batches. However, I have not been able to get authoritative advice on the shelf life of the flakes. I have some Liberon De waxed flakes that are...

    Festool Hose Alternative

I think I owned a Festool dust extractor I would use their hoses. The Festool strategy is obviously to get you to buy their dust collection products with their tools. They seem to purposely make it very hard to adapt other dust extraction products to their tools.

    Abranet with Festool Sanders

I have now been able to use Festool Granat with my RX90 on a small job and I can't complain at the results so far. I'll stick to the Abranat for manual sanding with the pad and extraction hose attachment. Thanks for the feedback.

    Festool Hose Alternative

The Toolstoday hose looks as though it would do, I want to attach it to the Festool 27 tool adapter, I'll then need to figure out how to attach it to my Fein port.

    Abranet with Festool Sanders

Just wondering if it affects the functionality, I do like the abranet stuff. However, for a RX90 I expect it's a non-starter as Abranet don't do a 90mm disk. J
