Does anyone own a Rotex 90 orbital sander?

Are you constrained to using the Festool extraction system or can I adapt so I can use my existing portable extraction?

I have one of the older Fein systems

Regards

The RO90 has a round spigot on it for dust extraction. Its about 23/24mm outside diameter with slightly bigger ribs further up to grip the extraction hose.
Hope that helps.

If you need exact dimensions, I can measure mine with a Vernier if you'd like...?

Mine came with the new twist on connector but the old style 27mm hose fits on just fine. So I guess if you have hoses with a 27mm ID end on them you should be OK.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll be calling into my local Axminster this weekend to take a closer look.

My tip for the day is pond hose.
I use pond hose and hose connectors/ reducers on my portable extractors, its all a damn site cheaper than branded extractor hose and with a little bit of fettling it works perfectly. Pond hose comes in various diameters so you can get a very close fit to most things, I found a using gas blow torch to heat the pipe to expand it to fit very helpful.
