    Decktastic....

Looking good. Just wondering if you got planning permission for your deck. On the box this morning it stated that all decking had to have planning permission. I don't know if that is true. I would be interested to know if anyone could confirm that or dismiss it

    axminster delivery prices?

Have just ordered the TS200, which is delivered FREE. Price is very good, compared to the clones of this saw and with a decent! blade thrown in. Any tips on setting this saw up before it arrives, would be gratefully accepted

    axminster delivery prices?

I'm sure I've read, somewhere on this site, that the delivery on a table saw (or something similar) was free, from Axminster. On their site its quoting £45 delivery. I can't ring them till tomorrow to confirm, so was just wondering if anyone knows before I speak to SWMBO. Not that she wears the...

    There's some nutters about

I was interested in an axminster aw10bsb2 table saw, on Ebay. The auction finishes in approx 50 mins and the price is already £560. This is a second hand one. Retail price with delivery-- (a couple of weeks ago) £599 from Axminster. BONKERS!!!

What questions should I be asking?

The saw was advertised as a JET. I was hoping it was the JTS250 but it turned out to be a JWTS-10JF, so decided not to bother making the journey to see it. Not the sort of saw I'm interested in. Johnny, the bandsaw has worked a treat, after buying a new blade and spending some time setting it up.

What questions should I be asking?

I'm thinking of going to look at a table saw for sale, but its quite a distance away. Before I decide if its worth going, does anyone have a list of questions I should ask the seller about the saw, as I don't know much about table saws. Any advice would be much appreciated, as I would prefer to...

    Bosch Mitre Saw Part Broken

I don't understand why you don't take it back. If you live in Bingley, there's the screwfix shop in Bradford, where you could take it and thats probably less than 10 miles away

    Anyone selling a table saw?

Was about to order an Axminster TS200 table saw, but noticed that they have stopped the free gifts of the safety pack and cmt saw blade, so I thought I'd wait a couple of weeks (to busy with work to be able to use it) and ask if there's anyone out there selling a table saw. Please PM me with any...

    demonstration of ts200 before buying

Thanks Mike for the kind offer. Unfortunately I'm in Lancashire, near to Burnley, probably around 150 miles plus from you but again thanks for the offer.

...and now for the mitre saw stand...

There are some 7023 stands on ebay at the moment, approx £96, buy it now, delivered, brand new in the box. Quite a saving over list price

    demonstration of ts200 before buying

I think if I had the space and a budjet of £500 to £600 I would go for the sip 10". My workshop at the moment is the dining room of my house I'm renovating so I'm looking for a smallish but decent saw, which is easily movable and not to expensive but £300 is too much to buy one from a picture.

bad luck at the start of the season squarebox

Were the 2 clamps used to keep the cut together while the plaster was stuck on. Masking tape and a piece of toilet roll is what I make my plasters out of

any tips on cutting melamine chipboard

Have had another go today, using the masking tape method, with some degree of success and tried part sawing it , then sawing all the way thru', again with some degree of success, so thanks for the tips

    demonstration of ts200 before buying

I'm thinking of buying the TS200 table saw from Axminster, after reading some good reviews on this forum. The problem is that I've only seen a picture of it and would like to see it in the flesh, before deciding. Does anyone know if there is a stockist of this saw, or the copy of it, anywhere in...

any tips on cutting melamine chipboard

I bought the saw, new, to make myself this kitchen, so its just out of the box. I've cut down the rubber stuck on the rail to act as my cut line and I've screwed the green anti chip thing to the side of the saw and push it down onto the wood and tightened it up. I think this is how you set it up

any tips on cutting melamine chipboard

Thanks for advice. I am using the festool saw and guide rail and still getting chips so what am I doing wrong. The blade is the one that came with the saw. 48T TCT. Would it be better if I changed the blade.

any tips on cutting melamine chipboard

Whilst cutting down, to manageable sizes, melamine chipboard I noticed the chips on the cut edges. Does anyone have any tips so as not to chip the edges or is it all down to the correct saw blade.
