    you wont have much trouble with power on them size mortice chisels, its only a drill afterall. does it come with the stand if you do buy it, i may have a collet we had made up for ours that will convert it to a chuck type (grub screws to shaft then has thread to accept chuck

    have you got a picture of the actual machine? the one we used to have was a great little tool, would certainly considder it a step up from the axminster. might have to get a collet made to sleeve a chuck onto the multico motor for easier bit changes? as they are grub screw fixing.

    looks to be a interesting project!! im no wood turner, but to help keep the handles all the same, you could score or guage the lengths between the decorations and the mounting sleeves with a caliper?

    interesting way of grooving the boards onto the corner posts. are they just glued in place? the aw looks quite dark. good job though.

    Twice the rise plus the going (2R+G) should be between 550mm and 700mm Private stairs, max pitch of 42 degrees, min go and max rise of 220. hth Olly.

    i usually cut the pocket of resin out with a 1/8 chisel as far as practical, then 2 pack filler/ sealer ontop before paint. not had a problem yet. try and tesselate the imperfection to the unseen edge of the window or into a rebate

    thread revival..... just thought i would add that the felder is a very good machine as it seems to be being frowned upon...ok its no cast beast like the wadkin BEM i used to use, but it does nearly everything that spindle could do and a lot more. You shouldnt need a 1 ton machine for spindling...

    im not 100% ive never actually took the feed rollers out. but i would guess that there are washers between the block and casting which the sprung bolt holds the roller block down to. Ive been using the same machine without fail (other than belts and new bearings recently) for 4+ years...

    Hi guys, just to cear a fw things up from a good few years experience in batch production run projects/jobs, jacob is correct in saying to cut timber to useable manageable sizes before any more machining processes, ill use the example given, a dozen 1 foot lengths, why not 3x4' lenghts...
