    Best saw blade, advice please

You need to be a little bit careful with some saw blades. the best industrial blades are made by Leitz, Leuco, Stehle, AKE & Kanefusa to name a few. you pay top dollar for those but get a very good blade. next down the line you have Freud, Gomex, CMT, Ernest Bennet, Atkinson Walker (though I am...

    Blade for cutting MFC?

who am I to comment? i only sell thousands of blades a year I cannot believe you guys suggesting a rip blade. using a TS with a scoring unit you should use an 80 tooth triple chip blade £38.00 (same quality as the leuco ones mentioned) without the scoring unit you have two choices: Hollow...

    Blade for cutting MFC?

Do you have a scoring saw unit on the machine? if not you will struggle to keep the underside of the cut with a clean sharp edge. You could put a "dummy" piece of timber underneath to improve the finish. there are blades available for cutting without scoring unit.

Cutterheads marked MEC should only be used on "Mechanically" fed machines. which is essentially 4 siders etc. the timber is fed onto feed rollers away from the cutterhead and then mechanically moved to be profiled. the regulations specifically state that "power feeds" do not make the operation...
