Bloke at Kendal tools told me that the SIP 3hp and Charnwood 2hp were very very similar in terms of output and maybe the fox wasn't quite so good.
I bought a charnwood and extract everything to blow out of the shed into the woodland next to the workshop. As i live on a farm I'm lucky enough to...
Having just got my Katsu trimmmer this morning it really is a bargain and good bit of kit. I've decided to suggest a few more tools which really are very good bang for the buck at their price points:
Titan Grinder: plenty of watts and a good size wheel

I've got a dewalt 1751. Luckily I've got plenty of sheds as a farmer and so will never be short of space for it. It is too big for my woodshop really but I do like it because crosscutting and trenching/tenons is easy on it
I've started on the linseed oil paint on a howdens door this week. I like it - hope it works well. Needed a bit of thinning down and didn't have any turps so I had to use some kerosine!
Not side but probably.
Just bought ba charnwood 1500w myself and v pleased with it, no more blocking planer thicknesser! You can get a Draper 1500w even cheaper at the moment
Handles have an offer on 2hp and 3hp chip collectors at the moment. They are the same price as fox etc.?
Do you think a draper one is likely to be any better quality?
