Dado stack for Metabo PK200 table saw

This will give you the idea, though I think its better to run off the edge of the router base rather than a collar. I can easily fit dado blades to my American saw, but this is quicker to set up than messing with dado shims. And easier to adjust is the stock varies slightly, which sheets goods...

Another New Yankee Style Router Table

There have been a lot of these over the years. From that I have concluded its a good pretty good design so one I'm basing my design on, though there will be subtle differences. Its being built mainly from 18mm ply, oak trim, with a laminated MDF top. It will sit on casters and the final...

Checking mitre slots for accuracy on table saw

Anyone got a good method for checking whether the two mitre slots are parallel to each other. I have never used the one on the right hand side on mine except to briefly put the mitre gauge in. It is an eb3 so adjusted to fit the left slot accurately. When put in the right the fit is not as...

Hi My friends father died a couple of years ago and was a keen woodworker. Due to family reasons they are only just getting round to the question of what to do with his tools. I have been lucky enough to have been offered my pick of these as they want them to go to someone who will value and...

    "Rawlplug" for Aircrete/Thermalite/Celcon blocks

The ones I saw in the mag were definitely plastic, the thread on the outside of them was massive. They obviously need to be plastic in order to screw a normal screw in and it get gripped. I seem to remember you did drill a pilot first. Mark.

    "Rawlplug" for Aircrete/Thermalite/Celcon blocks

My workshop is made of Thermalite blocks, which can be problematic to fix to if the item is heavy. I saw in a magazine a few years ago some plastic wall plugs that had a large thread on the plug. You screwed that in the wall first then your actual screw. Anyone know where to buy them from...
