How too router a circular disc?

If you use a large baseplate on the router into which you drill a hole for a centre pin at the correct diameter you can then rotate around that, hand held, without any issues at all. Personally I don't like bearing guided cutters and templates, so would not use the table. I'd rather cut the...

    There's just an empty space...

The DeWalt is bigger - its 12", whereas the Scheppach only thicknesses about 10" I think. I actually had the DeWalt first and for some time managed just with that and some hand planing and judicious board turning. When I got the Scheppach i had intended to sell the DeWalt, but find it better...

    Axminster Ral Number

Anyone who deals with paints in an industrial context will refer to RAL, as this is the industry standard referencing system. Talking in Pantone colours just makes you look like you don't know what you're on about. Ed

    Axminster Ral Number

I'm sure their tech services will tell you what RAL number it is - I expect its a standard spec to all their producers. If I was guessing I'd say it was 9010, which is the most popular white, being slightly off brilliant white. Ed

    Design/Work shop Tour.

I didn't say I was going to do it - I don't think it would suit me either! I just like the idea of it - an artisans studio. Ed

    Design/Work shop Tour.

Very nice. I quite like the idea of the workshop having some space for non-production activities like designing and thinking. Ed

    Mike's finger joint jig

I've handcut quite a few, large and small, and I reckon it takes some beating for both speed and accuracy. Ed

    Tools for Dovetails

It is, but at the risk of repeating arguments already held in this thread, quality tools (new or old) can give quicker access to success in my opinion. Ed

    Sanding American Black Walnut

I think you're fine, as I recall the dust will look lighter. Ed

    skirting board down steps

Thats how I've done it in the past. The alternative is a very deep skirting that you scribe to the stair, but thats not easily achievable. Ed

Petiegolfers previous Deck / Garden Landscape

Very good. I've used decking to solve similar levels issues at a few houses. It gives a very child friendly surface I reckon. Ed
