    Building a router table, MOF001 or TRA001

Hi all I am making a router table to fit in the space on a Bosch xts10 XC table saw when the right hand extension is out. I am going to use either a Triton MOF001 http://www.yandles.co.uk/triton-dual-mo ... 001/p13950 or TRA001 http://www.yandles.co.uk/triton-dual-mo ... 001/p13953 as 1 they...

    Aligning extension beds..

From this description it sounds like you are using the auger as a live centre and boring at the same time? Seriously dodgy and dangerous way of turning if my take on the situation is right. You should only be boring from the Jacob chuck if the work is held in a chuck in the head or through a...

I use GT85 on all my cast iron in the unheated workshop. As a spray it gets to places that rubbing wax on doesn't reach. Phil

    Jet DC1100A extractor failure

Quick update, I rewired anything that looked charred, cleaned up the start capacitor and it looked good, the run one was totally melted, although I did order a replacement for each (from China at £3 each). The run capacitor replacement is physically larger, but ratings are identical. Using...

Lathe bed and tool rest maintenance ... advice please

+1 for gt85. I bought 5 tins when on offer in ALDI. I clean up once a week, air blow sawdust away evening before as I lock up Worksop, next day spray gt85, wipe of with all the carp, respray and gentle wipe to leave a film on. I do this to all my cast iron surfaces on band saw, lathe, morticer...

Required output for a light for turning?

I also use the ikea Tertial on the lathe, one on the Sorby pro edge, one on the drill press. They are superb at the price. I use 60w reflector bulbs in them. All those to supplement the twin 6ft fluorescents above the late and the other 5 four ft tubes in the workshop. Phil

has anyone seen one of these?

My favorite pick/peck Approx 2lb head, blade and point seems to stay sharp regardless of what ground I dig in. Ideal for trench work and general grubbing out. We are on very stony ground, bedrock not far below soil level. We are lucky to get 6" of soil without raised borders. I can use this for...

    Jet DC1100A extractor failure

Thanks for info I have found a twin terminal 200MFD 200uF AC 250V to replace the 200 MFD, 125 vac and a 40UF 450vac twin terminal to replace the 40UF, 250V Should these be compatible? Both are about £8.00 each Stranger is that the writing on the start one is clearly 200MFD 125 VAC but on...

    Pick me a band saw

If your budget really is a grand, then get the Record BS400. Look where the Record show is on, order one over the phone it will be £899 inc delivery. Nobody has ever regretted getting a bigger bandsaw, an the footprint of the BS350 and BS400 is very similar. I was toying between the BS400...

    HMRC Emails

It's not picked up by antivirus programmes as it is not an infection as such, merely a script that adds encryption to the user files. With the correct 'key' the files would be in the same state as before, so in essence nothing malicious is happening. By external storage I mean totally detached...
