Thanks Brian, I contacted them yesterday but 1/8" is the smallest they make. THis 'quest' is a bit of a challenge. Manufacturers probably don't see much business in smaller blades, so it may be that the USA can provide, just like the Carter Stabilizer. Malcolm

Has anyone recently obtained a 1/16" or 2mm bandsaw blade. Something SMALLER than the 1/8" blade that is fairly easily obtained. If so, can you please let me know the suppliers name and contact details. Many thanks Malcolm

I didnt include the bandsaw tuning by Alex Snodgrass that I use as the OP was asking about tensioning only. It is a tuning method that I continue to use and it works every time. Malcolm

When a show is ON, ou can get discount and delivery usually thrown in. Show on at Yandles yesterday and today. If your in a rush, just call the Record rep at Yandles and say you cannot get to the show but can he give you a show discount and what is it. It may just help to get the Record in line...

The Carter Stabilizers are expensive once you all the shipping costs and the import duty, but they are very good indeed and keeps the blade verticle on it's own. However, the blades look very interesting and I was wondering if they could make longer blades, to fit the BS400 for instance (3378mm)...
