Didn't the boss of Addison Lee just get an honour in the New year list for services to Tory donations or some such? Maybe he's just falling in line with his patrons, who have also abandoned their net-zero.targets. Addison Lee, of course, are largely(totally?) driven by financial considerations...

I installed one a year or so ago. Best £300 I ever spent.

    Sharpening

Chisel and plane irons I can cope with freehand, although I probably do better with a honing guide. When it comes to turning tools, as a total novice,I reckon I could probably learn to sharpen a skew or a roughing gouge or a parting tool by hand, but I think I'd struggle to sharpen a bowl gouge...

Just to stir the pot, has anyone noticed...

I agree totally. Binary politics is simplistic and a giant waste of time and resources.

    O'Sullivan v Carter?

To my mind it's hard to beat "When Alexander of Macedon was 33, he cried salt tears because there were no more worlds to conquer. Eric Bristow is only 27." Or "The batsman's Holding, the Bowler's Willey"

    Heating question

I believe you are right in principle, but is the difference in price between a 500w and a 1kw heater significant? The running cost will be the same, as you say, but handy to have bit of extra power for that really cold snap, or when the fan heater breaks down..

    O'Sullivan v Carter?

Which goes down in history as a really stupid remark, but was the green on its spot? If so, it would have been a helpful description of the pink's position. God bless you!

    Canabis farms

I think the idea is that either the drug could be much cheaper(and safer) if produced and distributed legitimately. Having been inside the legal shops in WA, I'm not sure if that's actually the case, but then again, I have no idea of the street costs, and haven't touched the stuff since I quit...

    Saw stop ( USA )

Am I the only one who finds the idea of mandating safety devices for table saws in a country where crazy people are allowed to buy semi-automatic weapons a bit weird? Isn't there something in the constitution about the right to sever your own hand?

    Canabis farms

Anyone looked at how it's working out in the several states of America where it's been legalized?

    Breaking News: Post Office Scandal

I gave up reading Private Eye, it was too depressing to see nothing happen about all the incompetence, corruption and lying they uncover.
