I started to make something very similar several years ago and never got to finish it. I wonder where the various bits are? I used the actual clock mechanism on another project...

woodstore-dot-net in search box type wall hung wristwatch. Its the 3rd plan down and can be bought as a complete kit or just the plan. I bought the plan and my own timber and a 65mm watch insert from Martin H Dunn in humberside.

The plan isn't a bad price, but I think that it would be an easy task to do just by looking at it?

... that's what I thought too, doesn't needs a plan.

Same thoughts here. What woods to use? I was thinking ash and sapele to get the contrast?

I have some nice beech and mahogany that would do well on that job..

Axminster have some nice looking clock inserts too. I think the 100mm would be a bit OTT but the 80 and 69 mill look good.
