I spend far too much time on YouTube. Thought I'd tell you about what I've come across, good or bad.

Have any of you seen these guys:

kewlboxes

It's a series of videos from a husband and wife team who are making burial urns for both humans and pets  There is something rather eerie about the videos but also quite endearing. In terms of woodturning, well there's nothing inspirational to see and some obvious safety issues in most of them.

If you're bored, have a look at one.

Can't say I spend much time there myself but have found or been directed to some good woodturning ones. A lot of the american turners use it.

It's 80% crap. The very nature of the way it's encoded means you can't see enough detail to make it educational. There are a few exceptions to that rule like Bobhams excellent tutorials.

This guy generally posts good stuff

DarellSF

His website is http://aroundthewoods.com/ which also has some great articles.

Would it be possible to do a sticky etc, of the better you tube videos?
I only ask as when ever i read a thread like this i don`t tend to have time enough to watch all the recommend videos.
Then when i want to make something that has been covered on a video, i can never find the one i`m after.
Only a thought, but i have found a couple of these vids very helpful.

I don't think it's worth sticking Doug, but I'll keep posting the good and bad ones here as I come across them.
