Thinking of going to the Yandles show for the first time but not sure what to expect in terms of trade stalls etc and whether it is worth the hour and a half drive.

Minded to pick up a decent block plane, LN or Veritas, and perhaps some other goodies, but not sure which suppliers will be there and can't find anything on the Yandles web site.

Has anybody got any information about this years show, or feedback on previous years ?

Thks

:D I went to yandels for the first time last september and really enjoyed It smaller than axminster but i felt a lot more varied.
it would be worth the trip.

I have been four times now and it is over two hours drive from Plymouth for me.
There have been lots of stands there with all sorts to see. Veritas have been there each time and you can probably buy some planes at a discount with a "try before you buy".
I have been on a friday and hope to do that again this time. It is good to meet up with some of the forum members and have a chat.
Its also good to see and buy some of the more exotic timbers at a reduced price.
It really is a splendid day out with a pleasant cafe and craft shop.
Be warned!! Your credit card will take some punishment!

Well worth the drive! You'll have a good day out, and free entry and parking too!
You'll also find plenty to buy, you shopping list is well covered. I'll even buy you a cup of tea if you're there Saturday
Cheers

Pete, bad news at D&C of Newton abbot. The lease is running out and Lydl are after the site.
Mind you I am short of bookshelf space myself.
