I generally go on the Friday but cannot make it this year. Gets a bit crowded around lunchtime but quietens down after 3 but perhaps all the bargains gone by then? :)

The ones looking for the absolute best of wood bargains will be there Friday long before the streets are aired.
Should be there myself by 09.00 and be around all day.

Thought it was 10 till 4 ? Or is it that the wood bargains are available at anytime before that ?

Just get in early and then have Dave 123 blockade the road with his caravan.

What a good idea. Would have to buy him a coffee for that!

.................... plans changed and should be down there at 9am to check a few things out.

Parking field is well populated before 10, don't know that they open tills before 10 or let you browse the wood, I know I usually meet folks hauling wood back to the cars pretty early and by the time I've managed to dash round and get any essentials in the way of adhesives etc. the tills are open.

Just back from the show. What a good show it was. Absolutely loads of timber, from small of cuts to as large as anyone would need for quality furniture. Bought some for me and some for my son, plus some more clamps and books. Also picked up a few other bits.

Met up with David123 and his charming wife, had a nice cream, but he wouldn't sell me a tanner one, this one cost two quid without anything. Still, I enjoyed it on a lovely sunny day. Couple of hours each way, even counting the road works, so very happy with that. Will certainly be up for the next one.

Very jealous!
I spent most of my day battling with Yorkshire traffic.

Dropped in 2-3 this afternoon. Thought it was fairly quiet. Is it me or were there a lot of regular stands missing? Hitachi, Maffel, Bosch....
Or did I just miss an entire section of the show. (Besides crochet and cardmaking)

Well, total failure Dave, sorry I missed you, I was late, the coffee shop was heaving, I couldn't spot you and I couldn't find much of what I went for.

Ah well, there's always another year ................

Hi. Roger
It turns out that there are two coffee shops at the show, I suppose I was lucky picking the same one as Alex. It's a shame we missed each other. Good chatting Alex. I managed together through £100 or so on bits and pieces, and no Glynne, I didn't buy any wood (without your influence I managed to avoid the temptation.)
Yes we both enjoyed your visit to. And are looking forwards to the next time. All in all a great show and great weather to boot. We should be back home just after Easter.
Hope the weather stays fair.
