Hi all,

I built this cabinet for my mum and dads christmas present last year. Now that I have worked out how to post pics, I would like to get some feedback on it It is made predominantly from elm although there is a bit of oak used.

Nice - like the style and design, looks eminently practical, and suits its surroundings :D

Good effort I think. If pushed for constructive thoughts I'd suggest that the finish is carried into the slots for the glasses (they look a little odd being so light) and maybe a curved section rather than straight across on the bottom (stretcher...?).

I'd be pretty chuffed with it to be honest.

Very nice work, it looks tidy. :)

Like Miles, I would've also formed a curved bottom rail. Also, I may have shortened the legs (slightly). Another thing you could've considered would've been to form those housings so that they match the shape of the glasses, instead of square rebates. Then again, if you were to ever change the set, you may find the new ones don't fit! :)

Look forward to seeing your next project! :)
