Workshop replacement strip lights

I have a double garage as a workshop. It has three woeful fluorescent strip lights on a dedicated lighting circuit just for the garage workshop - tubes and starters on last legs!
I am looking to replace these three and add more. I have usual machines, tablesaw bandsaw lathe etc. this group has given great product recommendations so looking for product recommendations for the replacement to these strip lights that will illuminate and not cause problems with machinery also the lighting “warmth” that works will in a workshop. Thank you.

I don’t know if you can do this
However I am using 12v led strip lights in a single garage lighting the areas I work in over the lathe.

I have a separate light on the lathe from one of the two power rings. The replacement to the strip lights will be on the dedicated lighting circuit and will be mains powered. I have three mains power circuits (it’s all single phase) available for machines.

Another option is to replace them with the led version of an appropriate lumens to suit your needs . You might find that you only need 2 if you position them where you most need the light .if you are competent to do this yourself great if not consult a professional electrician.

Definitely +1 for panels over strips. Lack of shadows makes the same overall brightness so much easier to see in.

Hi Brian, do you mind letting us (me) know the shape and size of your workshop and how many panels you used? I’m doing mine soon and it’s always good to get it first hand, I never know how close to the walls to hang lights too. Thanks in anticipation. Ian

+1 for Led panels, give a nice bright consistent light. When I rebuilt workshop had them fitted compared with fluorescent tubes in old workshop and much better. Still useful to have task lighting so have lights on bandsaw, pillar drill etc

Dead cheap, site them where the need is.
