read "ordered" as , "and YOU will make a new coffee table...

That's not a problem then Neil, it's when it gets to "and YOU WILL make that D@#* coffee table" that you should seriously consider the options.

 Chas, having read your reply , i realise I capitalised the wrong word, you in fact hit the nail on the head.......

Don't have a lot of time for my own work although I do make the odd jig now and then as the need arises. Got to admit I could do with a few more jigs and cupboard space but it is when I eventually get the time to do these non paying jobs.

Chas.
I've gone for more than 50%.
I do seem to spend a lot of time getting set up and then packing/tidying away.
Wouldn't it be great to leave all the machines etc out and set up ready to go

hi am trying to set up the perfect shop for me at the moment having just moved to a new house [20x12 shed in garden clinched the deal]( sorry to gloat) so 100% setup at the moment frustrating but ultimaley worth it

I voted in the Hobby, more than 50%

The reality for me is probably 80% there always seems to be 'other' things that need doing.

For example today, instead of doing some veneering (Which I quite like doing) I was in fact repairing the lawn mower, (Which I don't like doing)modifying the temp. control on the central heating boiler, and refurbishing some old mouse traps.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

At the moment because my workshop doubles as the garage, I seem to spend more time moving equipment around and cleaning up and putting away than cutting. But when my workshop is finished ..........?

Sounds like luxury to me - I only get a few evening hours and weekends avialbale for shed work. On the weekend, I am only allowed to if I take my son (aged 4) with me. It can take about 1/2 hour to put a drill into a chuck (that's after I find it)! Every time I look for the chuck key, I find that the little blighter is using it for one of his games......and where is my good screwdriver and what about my dovetail saw!!!

I vote for more than 100%
