Workbench Restoration

My 40 year old workbench has been unloved and underused for the last few years. Advice on how to give the bench some TLC would be appreciated. It is made of Beech. My default method would be a light sanding and then the application of Danish Oil.

Sand the frame, but level and smooth the top with a plane would be my approach.

Don’t buy Milescraft …safety …kit it’s dangerous!
Unloved and underused? Perhaps it’s always been the wrong bench, looks like you’ve had the trial separation, time for a divorce?

Maybe leave it as it is and try selling it on Etsy for about £3.5k.......
