Please can anyone identify this wood. Was given to young man in the club but we cannot find what it is. Help please

My feeling is rubberwood of some description, looks very fast grown so a warm climate likely.

Edit: Overlapped with Distinterior, so two independent votes for the same.
 
I am by no means certain,.....But, my Mum & Dad had a large kitchen table that they bought new back in the 80's and it looked very similar in colour & grain and Mum told me that it was sold to them as a Rubberwood table.....
 
Looks a bit like Accoya.
I was looking at it thinking it reminded me of something beyond rubberwood and eventually I decided it was just my brain playing tricks. But as soon as I saw you say Accoya I was like yes! However, I think there is a pore structure visible in the end grain, and the turned item, that means it cannot be Accoya, as it is originally a softwood (Pinus radiata).
 
It does look like Accoya, give it a bit of a scratch and sniff test, if it smells like vinegar it's Accoya.
