This may be of interest to some .I bought this Rosewood table in Bombay India back in 1978 during my time in the Merchant Navy. I got it in one of the many local markets but for the life of me i cannot remember the name of the market. It is 5 feet long and 28" wide ,the top is made from a single board 1" thick ,hand carved around the edge and inlaid with brass and copper, the legs are also inlaid , rather crudely made but in my eyes at least it is a lovely table , over the years the colour has faded slightly even though it has almost always been covered by a table cloth and kept on display out of direct sunlight .
