Great job Steve ....one thing for me.... I would have made the legs a bit thicker...could you still laminate some pieces on to the legs? the bottom part of the leg I mean.

Steve

legs look thin
but are 15mm
it is very sturdy and will have wicker baskets underneath with baby stuff in them
thankyou for input Steve
got the boss lady to stand on it...it was ok ..but i put an extra support bar thru the centre
i would change lots if \ when do again

next time would be 19mm timbers and domino jointed...dowels are a poor option tbh

this was my first bit of "furniture" and a massive learning curve
i got so much wrong ...the list is long..but i got away with loads of errors
i had scrap drawings but no plans...big mistake
the timber was really old floor boards so i wasted so much avoiding black nail holes
it also "bruised" easily and was painful to say the least
the grain was also a challenge to plane

i am guessing this is the first of many and am looking forward to "mark 2"

Steve

thankyou for kind comments

thought it was going to be harsh

on to next project :)
a box \ book for wedding rings altar thingy
this one may take a while me thinks

Steve

That is lovely. I bet you're properly chuffed, especially as you rescued some century-old wood and turned it into that little cracker.

I am so chuffed...never thought I could make this
I gave it my best, and then some
I have some more timber coming in a months time and may make a mk2
I can see a domino burning thru the bank balance :)

Steve

p.s. thankyou for kind words
