I have a similar set of window cutters made by whitehill - I also couldn't really see how they were so expensive until they were delivered. There are a lot of cutters in the set and they are very large :shock: see pics attached.

I was recently looking at the Axminster tools spindle moulder window tooling kits, but struggled to understand how they could cost ~ £3500, especially considering you don't get the spindle moulder machine included in the price.

I just want to know whether there are any other companies who do specialist kits that are slightly better priced ?

To be able to spin up the Axminster tooling set for windows you'll need to spend somewhere near that much on a new spindle moulder alone and possibly more. Plus you'll need a powerfeeder.

FWIW the Axminster is a badged Whitehill set and The £3500 doesn't included everything you need either, you have to buy the rest seperately.
