Ok, so I have decided to buy a few decent saws. Namely a dovetail, crosscut and a panel saw. For the first two, I was thinking of these two. I like using this style of handle, and they're quite reasonably priced, too.

For the Panel saw - does anybody have any recommendations? What are the Victor brand like sold by APTC? Or there's Roberts & Lee - Rutlands. Or second hand off the bay - how easy are they to make good?????

As you may have guessed - i'm new to quality saws. I've been making do with a Bahco until now.

Hope you can help.....

Cheers

LN, Adria, Gramercy & Wenzloffs are all highly rated.

Cannot help with a panel saw as I generally use my circular saw
Though I think Robert & Lee are now owned by Thomas Flinn who make the Pax & Crown saws?

I ordered a 14", 13tpi, crosscut Lynx tenon saw at £41.66 plus VAT from Thomas Flinn & Co. a couple of weeks ago. I asked them for minimal set and they were happy to oblige. Don't know when it's going to turn up mind you. I could let you know what it's like when it arrives if you like (won't be as drool inducing as a Wenzloff I'm sure).
