Good morning everyone.

sorry to drag this topic up again, but due to having a workshop again (single garage), I'm looking to buy a table saw. Having trawled through this section, currently on Pg 66  I am considering either this link

or this another link

One of the benefits of living in Jersey is that I don't pay VAT so both machines are roughly £200. Does anyone own either of these machines and can give their opinions please? Or would I be better of upping my budget for a better saw?

Thanks for any advice

Phil

Not the Jet. That is a very rough ripping saw intended for use on site.

If you can't afford to up your budget a bit, then the aximinster should be ok. Will take a bit of fettling, i'd assume.

I had a Sheppach TKU site saw to use for a few days while i was waiting for my new one to come, It gave a very good cut.

If you can, Up your budget. They seem to loose a load or ££ when theyre secondhand so maybe a good nick secondhand one

I think the axminster will be a good adition (only problem aparently the rip fence is not very strong and is a bit short) but if you can afford go for a SIP 01332 or clone

Hi phil, Ihave the TS 200, it's a very good machine and good value for money, the only criticism I had was with the clamp of the fence, it keeps marking the edge of the table but I gather that's been sorted now, for £278.00 + free delivery, a good buy and you'll be saving £30.00, also the after sales service at APTC is second to none, at least it has been for me anyway. :D.

Regards,
Rich.
